We eat pizza at least once a week. If my husband had his say, it would be every other day. Takeout pizza can get super expensive, not to mention totally fattening. So I’ve learned to make my own, and it is SO much better than anything out of a box. Seriously. I won’t go back. It’s easy, it’s delicious, and I control what goes into/on my pizza.
Now, you may be thinking barbecue sauce and chicken on a pizza?
I know, I know. For years, I poo-pooed anything but traditional red sauce on a pizza. But a few years back, my sister in law introduced me to barbecue chicken pizza and it was love at first bite. Spicy, sweet and delicious. Seriously, it’s addictive, so I recommend you have lots of people share this pizza.
When I make pizza, I usually do one barbecue chicken, and another with more traditional toppings. That’s what I LOVE so much about making pizza at home – you can cater to everyone with little effort.
Finally, this crust is amazing, and I have to give props to my childhood friend Andrea at The Train to Crazy – she posted this recipe at her blog years ago and I’ve been using it ever since.
