I have been making this chicken for years. I first found the recipe over at Beanplate and over time, I’ve modified it, just a bit.
The thing that has remained constant is that this is my family’s favorite chicken recipe, hands down. Even my husband, who doesn’t like chicken (I know), happily puts away a few of these succulent thighs.
(don’t you just love the word ‘succulent’?)
Usually, I’m more of a chicken breast fan, but for these, I’ll make an exception. Yes, chicken thighs are higher in calories than white meat, but it’s all about moderation.
An added bonus? Chicken thighs are much less expensive than breasts. You can pick up a huge family pack for less than ten bucks and freeze whatever you don’t use.
You might balk at the cooking time, but trust me, once you get this recipe down, you’ll hardly notice. Set the timer and walk away. Play Words with Friends. Flip and baste the the chicken. Set the timer.
Read a gossip mag Put away laundry. And so on and so forth. You don’t have to stand at the oven and babysit…er…poultrysit.
I promise, this might be some of the best chicken you’ll ever make. Try it. You won’t be sorry.
