Quinoa and Beef Stuffed Bell Peppers – A Kitchen Fairytale
Once upon a time, in a land far, far away, a newlywed wife who was trying so hard to cook wonderful dinners for her husband, put dry rice in her stuffed bell peppers recipe. Only she didn’t really know what she was doing, and the rice didn’t cook as the peppers baked away in the oven, so the stuffing inside the bell peppers was crunchy. And not in a good way. The newlywed husband so sweetly choked the dinner down, and then gently asked his darling wife to NEVER, EVER make stuffed bell peppers ever again. Ever.
So she didn’t. For 10 long years, the sweet wife longed for stuffed bell peppers, but heeding her husband’s wishes, she refrained from making them.
Until last week that is, when the wife had had enough. Armed with greater knowledge and experience in the kitchen, and a wider variety of yummy ingredients, the wife set forth to make the most delicious stuffed bell peppers ever, and to win her husband’s resounding approval. And she left out the rice. Completely. Because we all know what a train wreck that was.
So she cooked and she mixed and she stuffed and she baked. And lo and behold the Quinoa and Beef Stuffed Bell Peppers came out of the oven looking like a fairy tale. And the husband, with eyebrows raised in great anticipation, tasted the stuffing and deemed it the BEST. EVER. Even the children (because they now had 2 happy children) loved the stuffed bell peppers….even if one children didn’t eat bell peppers and just had a ramekin with the stuffing…..
So now everyone in the kingdom was happy because Quinoa and Beef Stuffed Bell Peppers had been added to the Royal menu. And the husband and wife and their 2 happy children lived happily ever after.
