My toddler is going through a dip phase. It doesn’t matter what it is…ketchup, hummus, Nutella, ranch…she’ll eat it with a spoon. She’s calls it dip-dip. Cutest thing ever.
What is NOT cute? Dip is about the only thing she’ll consistently eat. I’ve been feeding her a lot of hummus cause I’m not keen on giving her a lot of processed ranch dressing and ketchup is pretty much corn syrup with a little tomato.
Today I decided to whip up some ranch with Greek yogurt – so she thinks she’s getting dip-dip, but I know she’s getting some protein and dairy and not a bunch of gross additives.
I went heavy on the dill (thus the name), because I really love dill. If you don’t, most definitely adjust to your liking. Also, make sure you let this hang out in the fridge for a while or the dried onion is crunchy and that’s just weird.
Serve this as a traditional salad dressing (feel free to thin it out further with more buttermilk) or with a bunch of cut up veggies as a dip-dip. Er, dip.
