Who here is an afternoon snacker?

Truth be told, I’m an anytime snacker, but around 3 pm seems to be my hunger witching hour. I feel run over by the day and usually turn to coffee and sugar. Not the healthiest choices.
I start each day with a smoothie for breakfast, but lately, I’ve been working smoothies into my afternoon too. Why? They’re a simple way to pack in a ton of fruits and veggies. And they’re yummy. That’s always a plus in my book! Even better, my kids love them and they’re a great after school snack.
This Afternoon Boost Smoothie is completely packed with good stuff. I leave the skins on the cucumber and apple for extra nutrition. The kale isn’t noticeable, flavor wise – but the sweet pineapple and mango are! You’ll feel all tropical and stuff. Even if it’s 40 and pouring down rain!
These fruits and veggies are by no means the be all and end all…you can totally throw in whatever you’ve got on hand…spinach, melon and berries would all be great!
